Sidewalk Decorating - Tuesday, June 29 (also Friday, July 23, and Wednesday, August 18)

Let’s keep the fun going this year and continue to decorate those sidewalks. We don’t need COVID as a reason to make people smile. So sign your family up again or for the first time to join in on the fun! Meet Mrs. Quinn at 6:00pm in the parking lot at the church to get your addresses and then decorate the town. All ages welcome! Contact Quinn Bennett with any questions at qbennett@rrumc.org or call her at 440.331.7676 ext. 234.

Vacation Bible School is Back!

This year’s theme is “Rocky Railway, Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through.” VBS will be June 21-25 from 9am-12pm. Children should be 5yrs old (as of June 1) through entering the 6th grade (in the fall). The cost is $50 per child. We are accepting 50-60 children this year due to COVID restrictions, and spots, although limited, are still available.

VBS Volunteers/ Donors Needed

It’s time again to get the Vacation Bible School (VBS) excitement started! We are desperately hoping to have as close to “normal” of a VBS as possible. Although we will need to be cutting back numbers for safety of both the children and volunteers, I am confident God will make this year as amazing as ever! To do so I need your help in several areas:

  • Provide donations of some sort to make this church come alive! You can sign up for any items you would like to help out with. You can have them directly delivered to the church c/o Quinn Bennett if you would like, or bring them in as usual on a Sunday morning. I have even given links to buy items needed to make things a little easier.

  • Sign up to volunteer during VBS week, help decorate, or tear down. We need youth and adults of all ages. No one is ever alone in any capacity. Everyone is always partnered up to keep stress down and fun at an all time high! You don’t have to prep your rooms or pull materials together, that piece is already done for you. Sign up to help. I promise you won’t regret it, and I promise you will grow!

Mission Zone Monthly Collection - Children’s Free Store Donations

The Mission and Outreach Committee is joining with the Children's Ministry for an all-church collection in May. This collection is for critically needed items that the Trials for Hope organization will provide to people in need on the near west side. Over the past ten years, Trials for Hope has been on a journey of addressing poverty in its many forms. Poverty isn’t just about not having enough to eat or living outside, it encompasses many aspects of life including physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological. Hunger isn’t a class issue, it’s a hunger issue. One of the biggest gifts for Trials for Hope has been not only watching the families we serve, whether they live inside or outside, have hope, it is watching the people who serve them as they see and experience the gift of hope as well.

The following items will be collected: household cleaners, laundry soap, canned tuna, hand soap, #6 baby diapers, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. A collection container will be provided in the main rotunda entrance until Sunday, May 23. (Weekdays during 9:00am-4:00pm office hours and Sundays during church services.) Please attach your child’s name on the donated item to receive credit towards their Consecration Sunday promises.
