Youth Ministires
Helping Middle and High School Students Meet Christ in the Midst of Their Stories.
Crossroads
Crossroads meets on Sunday nights to have fun, build Christian friendships, and grow in faith. Lessons apply faith to everyday life. Youth will experience fun games, thoughtful discussions, service projects and more.
Common Ground
Common Ground is a new program in the youth ministry that aims to foster a sense of community and belonging among middle school and high school students. Once a month, the students will split up into groups based on their grade level and engage in fun activities, meaningful discussions, and inspiring talks about issues that they can have among their peers. It will be during Crossroads hours 7-8:30.
Confirmation
Rocky River UMC offers Confirmation for students in 8th grade and above. Through this process, students learn about the Christian faith, the history and beliefs of the church, and what it means to live as a follower of Christ. Confirmation provides an opportunity for young people to take ownership of their faith and become full participants in the life of the church.
Youth Video Lessons
In order to strengthen spiritual growth at home and apart, Rocky River Youth Ministry will be release videos every week. These videos are to help students and parents remain connected to God's Word and his Church during this time of social distancing. Rocky River Youth Ministry believes it is through God’s Word and His presence in our lives that our stories are transformed, these videos are for sharing His story.
