What does it mean to truly see someone?

In the story of the Good Samaritan, several people saw the man who was hurting—but only one allowed what he saw to move him to compassion and action.

Jesus calls us to see differently. To look beyond the surface. To walk in another person’s shoes. To recognize their pain, struggles, and needs—and respond with genuine care.

How can we see with empathy and compassion rather than just with our eyes?
