That’s a Lot To Ask: Battle Tested and Battle Ready

1st Sunday after Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, and Father’s Day. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “That’s a Lot To Ask,” with sermon based on 1 Samuel 17:32-49.

David and Goliath. We all know the story of this famous battle.

It would seem that when you look at the giant Goliath verses the tiny shepherd boy, David, THAT’S A LOT TO ASK.

However, David was battle tested, and he found out how to be battle ready against this giant foe.

Saul thought that all that David would need was all of the armament that Saul had used in his battles.

If David had all of the items of the world, he could then defeat the giant Goliath. David could not even move while wearing all of those weapons of war. We will find out that when we are faced with in incredible call of God on our lives, it is not the things of this world that we need to accomplish the task. What do we need? Come to church this Sunday and find out.
