All the Good… A Proclaiming Advent

12/14/2025 - Third Sunday of Advent, and Cantata Sunday. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series “All the Good,” with a sermon titled, “A Proclaiming Advent,” based on Luke 1:45b-55.

When I was a little boy I always pictured the time of prayer on my knees at my bedside.

I would have eyes tightly closed, hands clinched together, and a heart that had not doubt at all that God was listening to little old me.

What happens after we say, Amen? We rise.

We rise into the lives in which God has called us.

Last week we talked about the importance of prayer as a key part of our Advent journey. We rise from our Advent prayers with a message of God fulfilling his promise to send His one and only Son into the world. It is a promise that is not just for me, and God calls me to let the world know that very thing.

God’s vision for the world goes way beyond Mary in Bethlehem. How is that vision being proclaimed and lived out in your Advent story and beyond?
