Music Ministries At Rocky River United Methodist Church

Dating from the time of John and Charles Wesley, Methodists have always been known as a “singing people.”  Music in the church accompanies our sacraments and ceremonies, supports us in sadness, promotes our fellowship and strengthens our souls.

In Celebration of Music
RRUMC is well known in the community for its quality, diversity and excellence as well as the strong commitment of time and talent made by musicians of all ages who sing, ring bells or play instruments in praise to God.

Gifts of Music Concert Series
The Gifts of Music Concert Series is a community outreach of Rocky River United Methodist Church. All concerts are free and open to the public and are presented in the Sanctuary.

The Chancel Choir
Rooted in a deep and rich heritage of sacred music, the Chancel Choir leads the traditional 10:00 a.m. service. The choir is open to anyone who wishes to praise God through song! There is no audition requirement.

Children's Music Ministry
The Rocky River Children’s Choir gathers on Sundays to worship and sing! Together, we have built a community of young singers age 5-14 who use music to look inward to decide how to live as children of the Lord.

The Fuller Sounds Bell Choir
Ringing handbells is a fun way to praise the Lord! No prior musical experience is required.

The Joyful Sounds Bell Choir
Performs during the Chapel and Sanctuary Services.

The Harbor Contemporary Praise Team
The Praise Team is a group of musicians who play weekly at the 11:30am Harbor Service – the contemporary worship service. Rehearsals are held weekly. We are always looking for people who can sing, play drums, bass guitar, keyboard/piano, electric/acoustic guitar – you name it, we’re looking for you!
