Nursery School News

The Nursery School has been a busy place the past few weeks. Halloween and Thanksgiving finished — now the children look ahead to Christmas.
Oh, how Christmas brings out excitement in children! The school will stay in session for roughly 3 weeks through December and then there is a two-week Christmas break for students, teachers, and staff.
The 3s classes continued with their colors unit through the later half of the fall — which is always great fun for the kids. Lots of hands-on activities and preschool crafts accompany each color. The school continues to work through the alphabet and review letters already covered.
Pre-K's theme is very evident as you stroll through the hallway — you can't quite miss the big banner plane pulling our huge red banner with letters decorated by the students each week. Pre-3s continues to work with each child to facilitate a fun and cozy environment that preaches structure and routine. The little ones are comfortable now and love to show off “their” school.
The Nursery School hopes to once again partner with Story Church to create a worthwhile sock drive to help other folks in need. Last year the Nursery School was successful in collecting over 300 pairs of new adult socks to donate to the free store during the month of December. We hope to better that number this year.
May you find peace and stillness this holiday season and stay present with the people and places you love most this time of year.
Merry Christmas,
RRUMNS Teachers & Staff
