Faith Before the Flood: The Foundation that Withstands the Flood

8/23/2026 - 13th Sunday after Pentecost. Baptism at the Sanctuary 10am service. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will share a message titled “The Foundation that Withstands the Flood” based on Matthew 7:21-29 and Psalm 46:1-10.

Acting on God's word is like building a house on a rock; it is the only foundation that can withstand life's inevitable "floods" and "storms."

Hearing vs. Doing: Jesus distinguishes between those who hear His words and those who put them into practice.

The storm comes to both houses: Crisis is a reality for everyone, but the outcome depends on the foundation.

Obedience as our refuge: Living righteously and obeying God's instructions becomes our safety and stability when the floodwaters rise.

Are you ACTING on God’s word or is it in one ear and out the other?
