The Eternal Canopy: The Lifespan of Faith and Our Eternal Hope

5/31/2026 - Trinity Sunday. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “The Unfolding Journey: From Seed to Shade,” with the sermon, “The Eternal Canopy: The Lifespan of Faith and Our Eternal Hope,” based on 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 and Hebrews 12:1-2.

In 2 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that even in Christ, we will face storms.

A stately old tree—having survived centuries of drought and lightning—understands this well.

Yet it remains proud, its vast canopy offering shelter to all who seek it. Surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses," we recognize that our faith has seasons of death and rebirth.

While our outward selves age, our inner spirit is continually renewed by the anchor of God’s eternal promise. Come and rest under the eternal canopy.
