Remember
4/5/2026 - Easter Sunday. No Communion. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will conclude our Lent sermon series with the sermon, “Remember...” based on Luke 24:1-12.
On that first Easter morning, the women went to the tomb remembering all the things grief had taught them to expect.
They remembered that they needed to anoint the body of Jesus with oils and spices.
They remembered where He had been buried. They remembered that someone would have to roll the stone away. That morning, everything they did was shaped by memory.
But nothing was as they remembered it.
Why? Because the resurrection of Jesus Christ had changed everything.
The angels asked the women a simple but life‑altering question: “Do you remember what He told you in Galilee?” And when they remembered — truly remembered — everything shifted. Their sorrow gave way to hope. Their confusion turned into clarity. Their fear became proclamation. Remembering the words of Jesus reframed the world in front of them.
This Easter, remember.
Remember what Jesus Christ has done for you.
Remember what He is doing in you.
Remember what He has promised to do for you as you look toward the rest of your life.
Will this be just another date on the calendar that you remember once a year?
Or will this be the day you remember as the moment that changed your life forever?
