Balancing Act - The People: Balancing Connection and Relationships

1/18/2026 - Second Sunday after the Epiphany. Pastor Paul A. Bennett will continue the sermon series, “Balancing Act,” with the sermon, “The People: Balancing Connection and Relationships,” based on John 11:1-7.

Finding the balance God intends for our lives is extremely difficult in the modern era with opportunities and distractions more plentiful than ever, and our approach to the connections we enjoy with others is sneakily one of the greatest culprits.

Meeting the unspoken demands of society in general is a daunting task, much less the spoken expectations of those around us.

Maintaining the countless “followers” and “friends” many adopt in the virtual world makes things more treacherous yet. Jesus did not cater to the expectations of society or those around Him. He was intentional with His relationships and set boundaries around those intentions.

Against all odds, might we be able to accomplish the same?
