Busy: Rest

16th Sunday after Pentecost and Moll Conversations Sunday. Fuller Sounds will be ringing. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will conclude the sermon series, “Busy,” with the sermon, “Rest,” based on Luke 10:38-42.

We always have opportunity to be busy as the world compels us to be, but we must set aside time to be with Jesus and prioritize that above our other worldly tasks.

God gave us the 7th day as the Sabbath. It is to be a day of rest.

I realize that not everyone can do that on Sunday’s, but God’s point is that we should be making time to be in relationship, intentionally, with God and his Son, Jesus Christ.

What was the best thing for Mary and Martha to do when Jesus came to their house? At our church we know that Jesus Christ is already right in the midst of your story.

Will you be a Mary or a Martha when you finally see him in your life?
