Messed Up: And in This Corner…

Fifth Sunday of Easter, 50-Year Member Sunday, Confirmation Sunday, Graduate Recognition Sunday, and New Members received at Harbor Service. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “Messed Up,” with the sermon, “And in this Corner,” based on Romans 7:14-25a.

The battle is real; to not know that fact is to already have lost it to the evil one and all the ways he works to destroy our lives and the lives of those whom we love.

In the text today Paul is struggling with the battle that never seems to end.

The way that Paul finally was able to come to a conclusion about the whole situation was to know who he was and who Jesus was and is and always will be.

Paul called himself a wretched man.

That wretched man is exactly who Jesus when to the cross for on Good Friday.

Who are you and whose are you?

The answer to that question will determine who keeps winning the battle.
