The Third Day: Jesus

Palm Sunday and Joyful Sounds will be ringing. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the Lent Sermon series, “The Third Day,” with the sermon “Jesus,” based on Luke 19:28-40 and Luke 9:21-27.

This is a very difficult Sunday in the church year.

It starts with the absolute joy and celebration of Palm Sunday and before the service is over, we are starting the process of hanging Jesus on the cross.

How many times in our lives have we been celebrating Jesus one moment, and moments later, because life has punched us in the face, we are shouting, “CRUCIFY HIM!”?

And yet, he went to the cross for those celebrating his arrival in their lives, and those shouting, “Crucify Him!”.

That is why Jesus is called SAVIOR!
