Then Jesus Told Them a Parable… True Humility

10/19/2025 - 19th Sunday after Pentecost. Pastor Paul is on renewal leave until October 31. Lynn Gorton, CLM, will continue the sermon series, “Then Jesus Told Them a Parable” with a sermon based on Matthew Luke 14:7-11.

The Wedding Feast reminds us that you should sit in a lower spot and be asked to move up instead of being asked to move down when you sit at the head of the table.

We are called to elevate others and to allow others to elevate us.

God lifts up instead of us trying to lift ourselves. It’s not always about fair or what you think you deserve, Jesus never sought for himself what was fair or what he deserved.

Instead, God lifted Jesus up, all the way up to the cross. Philippians 2:5-11.
