Sent: Go! I Am Sending You

Join us on Pentecost Sunday, June 9, as Rev. Dan Bogre preaches from Luke 10:1-17.

The word GO appears 1542 times in the Bible and the word STAY only appears 62 times. Clearly we are supposed to be a “Going” people.

Jesus is sending out the laborers for the fields. Jesus says that there is plenty of harvest but not enough people are going.

Many people don’t “Go!” because they are afraid, don’t feel worthy, don’t feel equipped, or maybe someone else will do it.

At the very least, shouldn’t the pastors do it? “After all, isn’t that their job?”

The “Go!” command is for all of us. We are all gifted and equipped differently but the fact is that we are all called to “Go!”

All of those excuses go away when you finally realize that it is God who will be doing the work through you.

You can’t do it. I can’t do it. When I turn my “Go!” over to the power of God, we (God and I) can do anything. So “Go!”
