Vacation Bible School 2026 Recap
Vacation Bible School 2026 was a hit!
Rainforest Falls was the best VBS experience in my 12 years as Director of Children’s Ministries.
God was at work throughout the week, and everyone who attended or helped was part of something bigger.
This year, children, youth, and adults were transported to the Amazon Rainforest as they explored “the Nature of God,” learning about a different part of who God is each day.
Day 1: They learned that “God is our Creator!” through the seven days of creation and a science activity where they pulled chlorophyll from spinach leaves and viewed it under black light.
Day 2: Through an old-fashioned game of telephone, the kids learned that “God knows everything” and understands the true story, no matter what others may say.
Day 3: The kids hid in a cave with young David as he fled King Saul and learned that “God is their safe place.” Special thanks to Grant for playing David.
Day 4: They learned the most important truth: “God is love.” Closing worship was powerful as Jesus (shout out to Steven Young) made their sins disappear while Mrs. Toni and Miss Molly sang an incredible duet.
Day 5: We wrapped up with a trip to Heaven, learning that “God is forever.” The kids created golden streets, the river of life, and the tree of life, then celebrated with gold balloons.
I was blessed to serve with 53 youth and 31 adult volunteers who helped 99 children grow closer to Christ.
From building youth-child relationships to decorating (special thanks to Grace Begany for showing up every day), teardown, a fully met wish list, and a week without behavioral issues, God showed how powerfully He works when we say yes to Christ.
Thank you to all who prayed, supported, or volunteered for VBS this year! You made it incredible!
