Reflections by Rev. Dan Bogre

Happy Easter, RRUMC Family!

As we finish our Lenten journey and approach the empty tomb, I hope you have found this season to be holy and blessed. There is so much to celebrate at RRUMC this Easter - starting with the miracle of the Resurrection.

The stone was rolled away so that Jesus could live within us. My prayer is that we each roll away the stones in our own hearts, allowing the risen Savior to take up residence forever. When that happens, life changes.

A Growing Community

We are seeing that "contagious" joy in our pews. Despite the winter weather, our average weekly attendance for January and February 2026 shows remarkable growth over last year:

  • Sanctuary: +25%

  • Chapel: +12%

  • Harbor: +8%

  • Overall Worship: +12%

(Story Church saw a slight 8% dip, likely due to our walking worshippers braving the winter elements!)

Why are we growing while others shrink? It’s simple. We are a church that stays in the Word through constant Bible study, and we are a church that refuses to stop preaching the Gospel. The message of Jesus’ death and resurrection is still the most powerful force for transformation in the world.

Thank you for your faithfulness. Let’s continue helping people meet Jesus in the middle of their stories.

Way to go, church!

Peace and blessings,
Rev. Dan
