Nursery School News

Hello Rocky River United Methodist Congregation,

The children are really coming into their own. The letter of the week is in full swing by now and the younger ones love to look for the newest letter that “hangs” from the ceiling each week. The Pre-K curriculum is geared towards getting our students prepared for kindergarten - academically, socially, and emotionally.

As the weather begins to cool down, we will be spending more time in Wesley Hall for gym; playing basketball and many other running games too. The 3s classes have really been enjoying their color weeks. It is fun to see them all dressed in the color of the week! The Pre3s children have grown before our eyes. Each child has gained so much confidence by leaving their parents for the morning; knowing Mom and Dad are coming back to pick them up at the end of the school day. They have so much fun that oftentimes they don’t want to go home at the end of the day! The Thanksgiving fruit feast was a huge success with the Pre-K kids as we talked a lot about all of the blessings in our lives and what we all have to be thankful for.

Nursery School registration for the 2025- 2026 school year will be open December 1 for returning families and church members. December 9, it opens up for everyone. Please help us spread the word about the nursery school to friends and neighbors who may be looking for a school for their little ones. Our programs are for children 30 months (youngest) to 5 years of age.

We hope this letter finds all of you well. May the Christmas season welcome you in with a renewed sense of joy and gratitude.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas, Teachers & Staff of the Nursery School.
