Risk Taking - This Has Got to be God’s Doing

Genesis 12:1-9

              At a time when most people look forward to settling in and enjoying the rewards of a life lived, Abram pulls up stakes and starts on a new adventure.  What motivates a person to leave the comfort of the known and familiar to risk failure and reputation? There is a clear vision that gives a sense of purpose to life as well as something greater than us.  There’s also the real sense that the vision is something that we would never have dreamt on our own, so it must be of God and, therefore, God will provide the way.
