About Membership

If you are thinking about joining the church, please contact Rev. Christopher Statz at 440-331-7676.

Become a Member

Rocky River United Methodist Church offers two membership inquiry tracks for persons wanting to join our congregation.

Track 1 is for persons who have been an active part of our fellowship for less than one year.

These New Member Classes meet for three Sunday evenings (every other week) for two hour sessions.

During these classes, you will have the opportunity to get to know others who are thinking about joining our church. you will learn an overview of United Methodist history and theology. You will be introduced to our Program Staff, as well as many of the programs offered at our church. You will learn of the many opportunities members of our church have to be in mission and ministry with and to those around us, and you will be connected with a member of our congregation (a Faith Friend) to help you with your transition into membership.

Track 2 is for persons who have been an active part of our fellowship for one year or more.

These New Member Classes meet once on a Saturday or Sunday for four hours.

This class covers much of the same material as Track 1. However, because we hope that participants, having been a part of this church for some time, are familiar with much of the church programming, we spend less time discussing the programs of the church. We also utilize an abbreviated Faith  Friend program, as most persons who have been a part of our fellowship for more than a year have developed friendships with members of the congregation.

Please check back

for updated membership class schedule.
