Philosophy and Goals

 

RRUMNS was established over 40 years ago to provide quality, loving care for children ages 3 to 5 years olds. We are passionate about Early Childhood Education and are pleased that you have chosen to include us in the growth and development of your child!

 

Purpose

The purpose of the Rocky River United Methodist Nursery School is to provide an atmosphere of love and understanding in which children can grow physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally under the guidance of experienced teachers.

 

Program Objectives

  • To provide an environment in which each child's self concept can be enhanced
  • To provide an environment where children can explore, discover, and develop naturally
  • To build a good relationship with each family and to expand on the foundation provided at home
  • To provide an atmosphere that fosters good social interaction and development ·
  • To provide experiences for children in literature, science, art, music, and physical activities
  • To provide an atmosphere that is comfortable, safe, challenging, and enjoyable

Enrollment

 

The Rocky River United Methodist Nursery School will accept enrollment applications beginning on January 5th for the Three Year Old, Pre K, Funky Friday and Enrichment classes for the 2010-2011 school year. Registration will be open for one week for church members, previous or current families and siblings enrolled in the nursery school.

 

Beginning January 12, 2010, registration will be open to the general public.

The following forms are required by Ohio State Law and must be completed by August 1. All  lines on both forms must be completed (even if information is duplicated).

The family and social history form is not required by law; however, our teachers find it very useful and we encourage you to complete it.
